GP Scam calls Posted or Updated on 15 Jan 2025

Patients at GP practices across Scotland have been targeted by fraudsters posing as medical staff in a new phone scam.

Fraudulent calls have been reported across the country, with callers and automated messages claiming they are from the GP surgery and need to update their medical records.

Please be advised that we would never request personal information in this way and we urge patients to remain vigilant.
